NEON Global Research - advancing entrepreneurs and enterprises
Mission
Our mission is to advance enterprises that will provide jobs, create economic growth, and address major social and environmental issues. We do this through the following avenues:
- Providing research, analysis, and consulting through our global research network
- Providing research grants to promising start ups
- Providing funding to ventures through the New Economy Venture Accelerator fund
Background
NEON Global Research was formed in 2006 as Opportunities Without Borders with a mission to advance entrepreneurs and enterprises. Originally we focused exclusively on providing research to enterprises developed in the College of Business MBA program at Colorado State University. This program is unique in that student teams start an enterprise and continue to develop it throughout the program. Many continue on as businesses after the program is completed.

After five years of providing research to CSU College of Business ventures in countries like Ghana, India, Mexico, United States, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and many more, we developed a large number of university contacts and established a global research network. Each of the regions of our network is managed by a Regional Coordinator who has experience starting a venture.
In 2011 we changed our name to NEON Global Research to emphasize our focus on providing research, analysis and consulting to small and medium sized enterprises to provide them a solid foundation from which they can base their decisions and advance their businesses.
Motivation
We believe that small and medium sized businesses are the driving force to create jobs and growth in the economy. Further, businesses are in the best position to solve the most challenging issues facing society today.
We have partnered with the Center for the Advancement of Sustainable Enterprise and we support businesses in the New Economy Venture Accelerator that are tackling the key issues of poverty, health and the enviroment. We support these ventures through our venture fund and by providing research grants to help them reach their goals.
